Trained presenters offer a dynamic presentation to audiences in San Francisco and nearby Bay Area cities. This 2 hour presentation is offered for free and is typically followed by questions and answers. The presentation covers:


  1. Dietary principles to guide parents during preconception and pregnancy, as well how to nourish rather than merely feed their children.

  2. The foundational nutritional principles Weston A. Price discovered during his extensive travels.

  3. The dangers of modern processed foods.

  4. Information about water and fluoride, traditional fats and oils, milk, soy, vital nutrients, and healthy meal preparation.

While the principals are simple, well-researched and have hundreds, if not thousands, of years of practice, implementation in today's modern lifestyle is challenging and also tremendously satisfying. More than a diet or plan to feed our kids healthy foods, Nourishing Traditions has made our family calmer, more cooperative, and more resourceful.


  1. We began by using the recommended foods in our cooking. Raw dairy took a year to be completely accepted by the kids. After doing my research, this is the food I most wanted my kids to enjoy for their health. Unfortunately, it is also the food burdened with the most fear and misinformation, as most every adult in your life will question this decision. The milk, butter and cream actually have a taste, unlike their pasteurized versions. We kept both on hand and after about a year stopped buying pasteurized and they didn't notice or care. The poultry and meat recipes in NT are so delicious they make you look like a five-star Michelin rated French chef. Not everything's going to be a winner. When my doctor asked my seven year old what was wrong with her health, she replied "sauerkraut, I don't like sauerkraut." But hey, she loves the fermented pickles. For dessert, who would not like apple crisp, berry ice cream, rice pudding, and carrot cake with cream cheese icing? Diet food is not only bland, but also prepared and eaten without any joy. NT is wonderful, delicious, gourmet food that uses the most nutritious ingredients and creates aromas and warmth that make the kitchen an incredible place of happiness and calm.


  1. We have three kids, ages seven, nine and twelve. I believe this food contributes positively to their excellent focus, study habits and physical well-being. Our 9 year old had terrible migraines two years ago. Nourishing Traditions and the judicious use of cod liver oil has solved that problem. Our kids eat an excellent breakfast and dinner. They get a nice lunch packed for them. However, we are realistic and know that at school they will probably share food with friends such as chips, cookies, etc. And, they go to play dates and birthday parties, where obviously we are not in control of the food environment. NT food tastes really good, so they know where to get the good stuff. The food choices are not restrictive. At this point, the key to our continuing success is planning and proper preparation of ingredients: for example, overnight soaking, and having crispy nuts prepared for snacks and desserts. It has taken us a year and a half to make this lifestyle habitual. Knowing we are doing the right thing for the family gets us through any frustration.


  1. The entire NT experience has benefits that go well beyond feeding our kids healthy foods. We spend more time together in the kitchen, and without us asking, they almost always want to help in some way. We work together more outside doing the necessary chores and growing some of our own food. Our kids know the baker, the rancher, and the farmer. All of them are small local producers who are passionate about their quality. They are truly joyful that they are contributing to our children's well being and value our kids feedback. NT is a nice group of supportive people to help with questions, so you are not alone. While I stumbled upon NT because of my interest in health and athletic performance, my association with this group has made me a better father and better person."
